Brazil has been discussing its reintegration into global industrial chains over the past two decades. However, since 2023, the concept of combining a new industrial cycle in the country (neoindustrialization) with a sustainable development agenda has gained momentum, in other words, a green reindustrialization. Sustainable development policies should aim to raise Brazil’s per capita consumption to a level close to that of developed countries, as there are no wealthy countries with low electricity consumption.
